ESTABLISHMENT OF MAMTEC

2021 has opened a new era for Additive Manufacturing(AM) particularly for the local industry. With the establishment of MAMTEC using the HVA Grant under RMK-11, local manufacturers have the chance to utilize AM fully and use 3D printing for serial production, rapid prototyping, tooling, direct part manufacturing and many more…
AM is employed for a plethora of applications across numerous industries, and developments in technology and software are driving higher quality standards and better production efficiencies than ever before. Through MAMTEC, various SMEs across various industries and sectors have the chance to experience the advantages of applying AM in their business processes.
With the first phase already completed, 25 companies from the automotive, transportation & mobility, aerospace as well as electrical and electronics has participated for a one [1] year long human and value chain development programme using Shining X7 laser 3D scanner, reverse engineering using 3D Systems Geomagic Design X, CATIA V5 Mechanical and Surface Design, topology optimization with Altair Inspire, 3D build preparation using Materialise and 3D printing using Kings SLA Industrial Grade 3D Printer.
